NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 Elliptical Trainer Review

The NordicTrack AudioStrider 800 is part of the ramp series of elliptical trainers. These ellipticals have a special incline ramp that has 3 settings that enable the user to target different muscle groups. This means you can workout your body from more angles giving you a better body shape and more variety where fitness is concerned.

The resistance comes in 10 levels and is delivered to the flywheel magnetically. This makes it silent and very smooth. You touch a button and the resistance changes, you feel no jerkiness as the adjustment occurs, the ride just gets gradually harder or easier. The lower levels give a gentle ride for beginners while the upper levels are hard enough for a challenging uphill climb.

The workout programs are a real bonus. There are 8 built in, 6 of these are divided into weight loss, aerobic and performance which give you a ride to get the results depending on your workout choice. There are 2 heart rate workouts that change the settings to keep your heart beating at your optimum rate. These use the heart rate grips on the handlebars.

Then there are the 24 workouts on the ifit® workout card. These are get fit workouts and they adjust the settings as you go and feature a certified personal trainer talking you through. This is played through the in built speakers and encourage you and tell you what to expect as you ride.

The music port will take an mp3 player which sits on a shelf then you can hear your favorite workout music as you ride. If you get hot during the ride the cooling fan is there to keep your body temperature down.
