NordicTrack A.C.T. Elliptical Trainer Review

The NordicTrack A.C.T. is part of the commercial series of ellipticals by NordicTrack and is designed for heavy use. It’s very compact yet still allows a long stride of 22″. This is adjustable between 18″ and 20″ so you get an elliptical trainer that’s suitable for all sizes of user and their different stride lengths.

The resistance comes in 20 levels where the lower levels are ideal for a beginner with it’s gentle stride. While the upper levels will provide an experienced user a challenging uphill climb and you have everything in between. The resistance is delivered magnetically and so is smooth when changed, you just feel a gradual harder or gentler ride.

The 20 ifit® personal trainer workouts are designed to provide different goals depending on your fitness aim. They’re divided into weight loss, aerobic and performance. These change the resistance as you go to maximize weight loss, aerobic conditioning or performance depending on your choice. These make a nice addition when you want some variation in your workouts.

There are a couple of nice little extras like the heart rate sensor so you can tell how fast your heart is beating at any point during a workout. Plus there is a cooling fan to keep you cool and comfortable. Overall the NordicTrack A.C.T. Elliptical Trainer is a great value compact piece of exercise equipment for the home.
