The technology used in the Bowflex Revolution gyms is SpiraFlex, this is able to deliver resistance just like free weights but through a pulley system in a smooth predictable way. As you exercise there is no decrease or difference in resistance through the entire range of motion. This is effective exercising which gives the maximum results.

The large number of exercises is achievable as the arms of the gym can rotate to 10 different positions around the central axis. This means you can get a whole body workout because the angle of resistance can be adjusted to so many locations. So you get seated rows as well as back exercises. You also get fly and crossover exercises to better target certain areas of the body.

The standard resistance supplied is 200 lbs which will be enough for most however should you be able to chest press a lot or squat a heavy amount then the resistance is easily upgradeable to 280 lbs.
